After checking emails and responding to any urgent messages, they meet briefly with their supervisor to review priorities for the day. They then send outreach emails to local partner organizations, reply to volunteer inquiries, and log into Golden to update the volunteer management platform with new opportunities for the upcoming weeks. Late in the morning, they lead an hour-long volunteer training before taking a lunch break. In the afternoon, they head to the University of Montana with a colleague to speak to a few classes about the IRC’s work and to share information about volunteer and internship opportunities.
