Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Land Development Manager to oversee the division's land development program in Northern New Jersey. You will direct activities from entitlements to final site turnover, coordinating across engineering and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery of start-to-build sites.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in land development, a related degree, strong budgeting skills, and the ability to work with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or similar program preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in land development.
• Computer literacy including word-processing, spreadsheet analysis, project scheduling and data management software.
• Must be detail-oriented and a problem-solver.
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the successful and timely delivery of new projects through schedules, budgets, environmental studies, and permit compliance reports.
• Work with Area Construction Managers and Director of Construction to deliver ready-to-build home sites.
• Assist in creating development budgets during entitlement and value-engineer project design.
• Develop relationships with jurisdictional entities and maintain land use rights.
• Oversee projects from permit approvals through construction, final certification and turnover.
• Manage field operations related to land development including erosion control, utilities, paving, landscaping, and post-construction as-builts.
