Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to and from loading docks and park trailers in designated areas. You may drive locally to offsite maintenance facilities, with safety first and DOT compliance.

Starting pay is $24.60 per hour for night shifts, Sunday 5:00 pm - finish and Monday-Thursday 6:00 pm - finish. Benefits include day-one health coverage, 401K matching, stock purchase plan, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT pre/post trip safety checks on tractor, trailer and equipment.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Safely move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return all paperwork related to offsite maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure tractors, trailers and freight are secured at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping in tractor and loading dock areas and keep trailers clean.
• End of shift: secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
