Performance Foodservice in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Yard Driver to move tractor trailers to/from loading docks and park trailers at designated areas. The role requires local city driving, DOT compliance, and safe handling of equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months of tractor trailer experience.
• Must be able to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Valid CDL A license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Move trailers to/from loading docks and designated parking areas.
• Handle and return paperwork for offsite maintenance/inspections.
• Ensure tractors, trailers and freight are secured at all times.
• Maintain general housekeeping in tractor/ loading dock area; keep trailers clean.
• End of shift: secure equipment and complete paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
