Job summary

Greenbrier Village Health and Rehab is seeking a licensed practical or registered nurse to provide comprehensive care for geriatric residents in a community-based setting. You will follow physician orders, document medical histories, and monitor vital signs to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current state nursing license.
• 1 year of nursing experience in community-based care preferred.
• Follow state regulations and company policies/guidelines.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Requirements:

• Have a current state nursing License.
• 1-year experience as a nurse in a community-based care setting (preferred).
