Job summary

Broken Bow Health and Rehab is seeking an LPN to join our team in Oklahoma. The role involves following physician orders, documenting medical histories, and performing vital signs, assessments, and basic nursing tasks for geriatric residents.

You will administer medications, monitor patient responses, and provide compassionate support to residents and their families. LPN licensure is required; student consideration is possible for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing.
• 1-year LPN experience in community-based care (preferred).
• Criminal background check must be passed.
• LPN students who meet criteria may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for resident care.
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and medication effects.
• Document changes in patient condition and notify physician/supervisor.
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, and assist with basic care tasks.
• Collect lab samples as assigned.
• Provide emotional and psychological support as needed.
• Communicate with patients’ family to provide advice and release instructions.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Job Requirements:

• Have a current state LPN License.
• 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!
