Job summary

Stilwell Nursing and Rehab in Oklahoma is seeking a qualified LPN to provide high-quality resident care by following physician orders, recording medical histories, and taking vital signs. You will observe residents, document changes, and administer prescribed medications as part of a compassionate caregiving team.

Ideal candidates hold a current state LPN license, have about one year of experience in community-based or geriatric care, and can pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Have a current state LPN License.
• 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!

Responsibilities

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
