Job summary

Stilwell Nursing & Rehab in Stilwell, OK is seeking an LPN to provide direct patient care to geriatric residents, follow physician orders, document medical histories, and assist with daily living activities in a community-based setting.

This role emphasizes wound care, infection control, IV care, medications, and emotional support; candidates should have a current LPN license, at least one year of experience, and the ability to work with families and staff. Background check required.

Qualifications

• Current state LPN license.
• 1 year of LPN experience in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!

Responsibilities

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
