Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Afterhours Registered Nurse to deliver hospice care to patients and families after regular business hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities include triage over the phone, initial nursing evaluations within 48 hours, and afterhours visits such as admissions and routine visits. Requires RN license, driving eligibility, and clinical experience; CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred).
• 1+ years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage patient needs over the phone until an nurse can visit.
• Respond to crisis calls after hours with urgency.
• Perform initial nursing evaluation within 48 hours of referral.
• Conduct afterhours visits including admissions and routine visits.
• Assess and reassess patient/family needs every 15 days.
• Document problems, goals, interventions and responses.
