Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Warehouse to lead a safety-focused warehouse team and drive efficient operations. The role emphasizes coaching, hiring, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment while maintaining food safety and cost controls.

The position requires several years in warehouse distribution, supervisory experience, and knowledge of OSHA/HACCP; strong leadership and data interpretation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain injury-free associates and a safety-first culture.
• Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and training.
• Direct and supervise work to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Participate in hiring of warehouse personnel and review performance.
• Lead associates to achieve accurate orders and prepare for shipping or receiving.
• Monitor productivity and adjust coaching to improve performance.
• Assign dock locations and ensure proper storage per FIFO and food safety.
• Maintain warehouse and equipment safety and arrange repairs as needed.
• Identify sources of inventory shrink and assist in cost-control planning.
• Inspect facility for safety hazards and report as appropriate.
• Ensure MSS and FSQA requirements are followed.
• Schedule shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

Education

High school diploma or GED

College degree preferred
