Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Labor and Delivery in a 0.75 FTE night shift (1900-0730). This weekend program requires availability Friday–Sunday on alternating weeks, with additional holiday rotation.

Typical duties include preparing sterile fields, passing instruments, and maintaining a safe OR environment. Candidates should have CST certification, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, and ~2 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Proficient in aseptic surgical techniques and instrument handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and drape the sterile field for procedures.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain patient safety and sterile technique in the OR.
• Coordinate with team to ensure room readiness and cleanliness.
