Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the Labor and Delivery department in North Carolina. The role requires aseptic technique, assisting with patient prep, supplies, instruments, and room turnover.

BLS is required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or military OR training is expected, with certification preferred. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend, offering a comprehensive benefits package and a pay range of $24.85 to

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure.
• Assists RN circulator in patient prep, assembly of supplies, instruments and specimens; supports room turnover.
• Monitors sterility of supplies and ensures proper use and accurate charge submission.
• Monitors and documents sterilization activities for completion.
• Attends in-services and participates in Performance Improvement processes.
• Pursues educational opportunities to increase competency and meet goals.
• Assists in development of policies, procedures and standards.
