Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader to oversee day-to-day operations across departments. You will staff, hire, mentor, and coach team members, and implement strategies to improve service, drive sales, and maintain store standards.

You’ll manage staffing plans, promotional execution, and training, ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment with consistent attendance. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas are helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Ability to teach suggestive selling.
• Ability to mentor and lead teams including hourly staff.
• Certification completions as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members across store departments.
• Mentor and coach all team members.
• Improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet needs.
