Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to supervise day-to-day operations across departments, mentor staff, and drive customer service and sales while upholding Meijer standards.

The role focuses on staffing, coaching, and disciplined execution of company policies, with an emphasis on prime hours, product presentation and safety. A high school diploma and 2–3 years of related retail experience are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leadership experience in a retail environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide direction to team members.
• Experience resolving conflicts and managing multiple tasks.
• Analytical skills to review financial and statistical information for decisions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Manage P&L, drive sales, and control shrink for the department.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain store presentation.
• Provide training and ensure team completes required training.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain attendance.
