Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistics to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across the organization.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day operations within departments of the store.
• Serves as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance with focus on prime hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development.
• Documents disciplinary actions and discharges when appropriate.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Ensures team is trained and adheres to training requirements.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
