Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in the United States to transport empty trailers and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tractor/trailer and straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.

The role requires CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, a clean MVR, and the ability to lift heavy freight.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience
• High school diploma/GED or state approved equivalent
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Must be 21 years of age
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
• Pass road test
• Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure new DOT Health Card
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and inspects tractor/trailer
• Reports safety issues and repairs
• Follows DOT regulations and safe driving guidelines; reports hazards
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor trailer
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule
• Performs hook/unhook procedures
• Parks and stores tractor trailers
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured
• Handles damaged goods and returns in trailer and completes paperwork
• Unloads equipment and keeps trailers clean
• Completes daily hours-of-service records as required
• Performs other duties as assigned
