Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to manage development, test, and production Windows servers, handle advanced troubleshooting, and drive proactive system health. The role requires strict adherence to 24×7 operations and rotating shifts, with a focus on patching, GPOs, and OS hardening.

Responsibilities include incident remediation, operational reporting, runbook creation, and knowledge transfer to Level 1 analysts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination.
• Strong experience with Windows troubleshooting and server administration.
• Ability to support 24×7 operations and rotating shifts.
• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.
• Night Shift: 6pm - 6am EST

Responsibilities

• Windows Systems Administration — Administers Windows development, test, and production servers including reloading, re-imaging, patching, GPO configuration, and OS hardening.
• Advanced Troubleshooting — Diagnoses and resolves complex Windows OS, Active Directory, and server connectivity issues.
• Monitoring & Proactive Response — Performs daily monitoring of Windows systems, services, and performance; initiates proactive remediation.
• Software Management — Installs, removes, and upgrades Windows-based software packages and agents.
• Incident Remediation — Owns Level 2 Windows-related tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis.
• Operational Reporting — Provides system evaluation reports and contributes to operational recommendations for Windows environments.
• Documentation & Compliance — Updates system records, ensures licensing compliance, and maintains accurate configuration data for Windows assets.
• Knowledge Transfer — Creates runbooks and how-to guides; trains Level 1 analysts on Windows procedures.
