Job summary

Unisys is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to manage development, test, and production Windows servers. You will reload, re-image, patch, configure GPOs, and harden OS images to maintain secure, reliable environments.

You will diagnose complex Windows OS and Active Directory issues, monitor systems daily, and implement proactive remediation. The role requires flexibility for 24×7 operations and rotating shifts, with a commitment to documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows troubleshooting and server administration.
• Ability to support 24×7 operations and rotating shifts.

• Provides system evaluation reports and contributes to operational Windows recommendations.
• Updates system records, ensures licensing compliance, and maintains accurate configuration data.

Job description

What success looks like in this role:

• Windows Systems Administration — Administers Windows development, test, and production servers including reloading, re-imaging, patching, GPO configuration, and OS hardening.
• Advanced Troubleshooting — Diagnoses and resolves complex Windows OS, Active Directory, and server connectivity issues.
• Monitoring & Proactive Response — Performs daily monitoring of Windows systems, services, and performance; initiates proactive remediation.
• Software Management — Installs, removes, and upgrades Windows-based software packages and agents.
• Incident Remediation — Owns Level 2 Windows-related tickets through resolution, including root cause analysis.
• Operational Reporting — Provides system evaluation reports and contributes to operational recommendations for Windows environments.
• Documentation & Compliance — Updates system records, ensures licensing compliance, and maintains accurate configuration data for Windows assets.
• Knowledge Transfer — Creates runbooks and how-to guides; trains Level 1 analysts on Windows procedures.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• BA/BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination.
• Strong experience with Windows troubleshooting and server administration.
• Ability to support 24×7 operations and rotating shifts.
• U.S. Citizenship and U.S. residency required.
• May also hold Linux credentials if permitted.

Night Shift: 6pm - 6am EST
