Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor for the 11p–7a shift to lead maintenance staff and oversee repairs, safety, and quality across fleet operations. The role focuses on scheduling, inspections, and cross-functional coordination to keep services reliable.

Qualifications

• 3 years performing repairs and maintenance on diesel powered, heavy vehicles, hydraulics, equipment, and related components
• Waste industry experience is a plus
• OSHA and DOT rules and regulations knowledge

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance staff, including training, scheduling work assignments, and overtime authorization, ensuring safe work per regulations and policies
• Perform supervisory tasks including employee reviews, attendance tracking, and accountability
• Prioritize work to meet operations needs and efficiency
• Coach and mentor direct reports with SAP usage and assignments
• Communicate status of fleet vehicles, containers, and equipment with management and operations
• Ensure maintenance department meets quality and safety standards and conducts vehicle inspections
• Review work orders and ensure parts inventory is maintained
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely
• Train employees to meet or exceed standards
• Collaborate across functions to maintain positive relationships with customers, clients, coworkers, and managers
• Conduct observations and audits to ensure safety procedures are followed
• Perform road calls to repair vehicles and road test to determine repairs
• Perform mechanical duties as needed
• Other duties as assigned
