Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to lead the maintenance staff, perform diagnostic testing, and ensure safe, compliant repairs on heavy trucks. The role requires hands-on maintenance, instruction of technicians, and adherence to company schedules.

The position operates on a 2:30pm-2:30am shift, Monday through Friday, with opportunities to train personnel and manage shop workflows. CDL B and DOT card are preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engine vehicles.
Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot repairs.
Waste industry experience preferred.
Ability to obtain CDL B is preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate status of vehicles, containers, and equipment to management.
Ensure repairs follow maintenance schedules and are properly diagnosed.
Perform repairs on vehicles and related components safely and compliant with regulations.
Maintain records of time, orders, and parts usage in SAP.
Train technicians and supervise preventive maintenance practices.
Assist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed.
