Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to guide the maintenance team, perform diagnostics, and ensure safe, compliant repairs of heavy trucks and equipment. The role requires hands-on technical skills, ability to read manuals and diagrams, and experience with SAP recordkeeping.

The position may involve night and weekend hours, CDL B preferred, and DOT Medical Card preferred. You’ll contribute to a safety-first environment while supporting fleet reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of heavy truck maintenance/repair experience.
• Ability to read repair manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics.
• CDL B preferred and DOT Medical Card preferred.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff and coordinate vehicle repairs.
• Ensure repairs follow maintenance schedules and safety regulations.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and quality repairs.
• Maintain records in SAP for time, orders and parts usage.
• Instruct and train technicians on proper procedures.
• Assist in shop housekeeping and tool management.
• Communicate status updates to management on vehicle fleets.
