Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Georgetown, OH is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Foreman. You will lead maintenance staff, perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, tooling, and the ability to train technicians to ensure safe, compliant operations. The position involves coordinating with management, maintaining records in SAP, and performing shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years performing repair and maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair failures.
• Waste industry experience preferred.
• CDL B and DOT Medical Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regularly communicate with management regarding vehicle and equipment status.
• Ensure repairs follow maintenance schedules and are properly diagnosed.
• Perform preventive maintenance programs to company standards.
• Inspect and repair vehicle support systems (electrical, air, hydraulics, brakes).
• Perform roadside repairs and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP (time, maintenance orders, parts usage).
• Train and assess technicians to ensure proper completion of duties.
• Assist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed.
