Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC in Monroe, MI is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee delivery and backhaul operations during the night shift. You will supervise transportation associates, enforce SOPs, safety rules and regulatory compliance, and partner with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve delivery issues.

The role requires 2–4 years in transportation, a Class A CDL, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to train staff, manage schedules, and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of transportation experience and/or training.
• Class A CDL preferred.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public and to complete records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily work and safety of transportation associates and ensure SOPs, food safety, and preferred work methods are followed.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA) and maintain accurate electronic logs.
• Monitor labor hours and supplies within budget; prepare work schedules and shifts as needed.
• Assist with training of new and existing associates; cross-train staff.
• Direct proper selection and use of company assets to support delivery operations; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Review delivery functions and productivity; suggest efficiency and cost-reduction ideas.
