Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Transportation Administrative Specialist to support warehouse logistics and backhaul operations. You will handle routine communications, prepare reports, and assist with route updates and scheduling.

You will work in an office setting with exposure to warehouse environments, using Excel and logistics systems daily. A minimum of three years in logistics/warehouse admin plus a high school diploma is required; strong organizational skills and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of warehouse administrative or clerical experience.
Prior logistics, transportation, and/or warehouse experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Excel and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

Answer calls to resolve driver, sales rep, and customer issues; communicate route updates to drivers.
Use systems to create, update, and distribute reports supporting transportation operations.
Maintain transportation metrics and logs (attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery windows).
Coordinate backhaul and scheduling to minimize cost while maintaining compliance.
Assist in training and development of junior clerical teammates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
