Job summary

The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills to address root causes and customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Experience with cross-functional store operations is a plus.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts at root cause.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members across store departments.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet needs.
• Mentor and coach team members; support development and promotions.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales, and control shrink.
• Maintain prime shopping hours, product presentation, and store standards.
• Ensure safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Provide exceptional customer service and promote Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Train staff in all required tasks and policies.
• Spend time communicating with customers and team members to ensure service.
