Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Labor & Delivery) for full-time night shifts. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting in all phases of operative care under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates will have completed an accredited surgical technologist program and hold NBSTSA CST certification, with strong infection control and teamwork skills to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited or national surgical technologist program.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Formal surgical technology training in U.S. military or Public Health Service encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and scrub into surgery; prepare instruments prior to incision.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile instrument table and trays.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments per policy.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and passing supplies to the surgical team.
• Maintain room cleanliness and decontaminate equipment after cases.
