Job summary

Baptist Health seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This is a full-time, night-shift position (7:00pm–7:00am) Monday through Friday, providing sterile technique support, instrument handling, and patient safety during procedures.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and assisting the team to minimize anesthesia time.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
