Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Springfield, OH, seeks an Overnight Leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day store operations. You will mentor staff, manage staffing and hiring, and drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to Meijer standards.

You will rotate through departments, lead by example, and promote a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment during night shifts. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments across departments (meat, bakery, produce, deli) helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and direct teams.
• Ability to analyze financial/statistical information and use it to make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Manage disciplinary actions and promotions as needed.
• Oversee P&L, sales performance, and shrink control.
• Model excellent customer service and Meijer Friendly Initiative.
