Job summary

You will be responsible for staffing, performance coaching, and implementing strategies to meet sales and service goals. The role requires 2–3 years of retail experience, plus 1 year in a management capacity, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and lead teams through various store

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members and resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information to inform decisions.
• Leader capable of mentoring team members across SH/Hourly roles and SDITs with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning.
• Document actions and apply disciplinary measures when needed.
• Oversee P&L, sales, and shrink targets for the department.
• Maintain staffing and operations aligned with Meijer standards.
• Ensure training completion and foster a safe, high‑performing work environment.
