Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift to ensure decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage and distribution of surgical instruments with accurate tracking.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CS experience is preferred and HSPA/IAHCSMM certification is preferred and must be obtained within 18 months of hire. 40 hours weekly, night shifts (10 hr shifts per day) with minimal weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Past central sterile experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Store, distribute and track instruments accurately and timely.
• Work independently with limited supervision and serve as a resource to customers.
• Maintain quality control and documentation for Sterile Processing.
