Lexington Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support daily operations in the SPD, ensuring proper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging and sterilization of instruments for hospital and affiliated offices.

The role requires completing CBSPD certification within 12 months, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn how instruments are maintained and processed. Day-one benefits apply and the department emphasizes accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: CBSPD-Technician from IAHCSMM or CBSPD from CS.P.D.T within 1 year of employment.
• Basic computer skills and aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, assembles and packages instruments for sterilization.
• Prepares instrument trays and sets for sterilization; inspects and wraps properly.
• Operates sterilization equipment (steam, Sterrad) and related cleaning devices.
• Restocks OR supplies and returns unused items to SPD.
