Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is hiring a Shuttle Driver to support our food distribution operations. You will transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and turnaround to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard sites, following DOT regulations and safety practices.

The role requires a valid CDL A with doubles endorsement, 1 year of driving experience, and the ability to lift equipment up to 90 pounds. Weeknight shifts (Sun–Thu) are common, with daily pay of $200 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and meet state licensing requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Operate tandem tractor-trailer, tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Transport empty trailers to operating locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT rules and report issues.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain route paperwork and complete required logs and paperwork.
• Unloads and secures freight as needed and assists with general housekeeping.
