Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver for night shifts (Sunday to Friday). The role involves transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/yards, adhering to DOT rules and safety standards.

Average annual pay ranges from $65,000 to $75,000. Experience with doubles endorsements is required, and the position offers a stable workflow supporting America’s food distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement needed.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Able to work third shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Have a valid DOT Health Card or obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer, shuttle trailer, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes transporting trailers safely.
• Perform pre/post trip safety checks per DOT requirements and report safety issues.
• Maintain route paperwork and ensure timely delivery per schedule.
• Unhook and hook trailers, park and store equipment securely.
• Complete hours-of-service logs and keep trailers clean and organized.
• Assist with general housekeeping and related duties as required.
