Job summary

Cheney Brothers is hiring a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The role includes DOT-compliant driving, safety checks, and proper handling of freight.

You will interact with customers and co-workers to ensure timely and accurate service. Requirements include a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, minimum 8 months of commercial driving, a clean MVR in the last 3 years, and the ability to lift heavy cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• CDL A license with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Minimum 8+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Inspect tractor/trailer and load for proper securing of freight.
• Drive and deliver trailers on predetermined routes on intrastate/interstate highways.
• Maintain required documentation and logs per federal and company rules.
• Follow safety guidelines; report hazards and issues promptly.
• Assist with general housekeeping in loading dock areas and trailers.
