Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a Shuttle Driver for night hours (4pm–7pm dispatch window) to move empty trailers to and from warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will work under DOT regulations, maintain accurate logs, and interact professionally with customers and peers.

The role requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, a clean MVR, 21+ years old, and the ability to lift heavy loads (60–90 pounds).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailer loads for proper securing.
• Maintain route paperwork and dispatch readiness.
• Drive and deliver trailers per schedule.
• Complete hook/unhook procedures and park trailers.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured at all times.
• Handle damaged goods and returns for transfer to base.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records as required.
