Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to securely transport trailers between warehouse locations and shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor trailers and straight trucks across intrastate routes, delivering loads on time while adhering to DOT rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 6–12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift Sun–Thu nights (schedule may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move cases weighing 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations; ensure safety standards are met.
• Report all safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for proper load security and freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is complete and available at dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to route schedule; hook/unhook safely.
• Park and store tractors, maintain equipment security.
• Complete required paperwork and hours-of-service logs.
• Keep work areas clean and assist with related duties.
