Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport and deliver trailers between Operating Company warehouses and domicile/shuttle yards. The role includes safety checks, DOT compliance, and customer interactions.

Training in Temple, TX for two weeks, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package apply. Evening/overnight Sunday–Friday shifts and competitive pay with quarterly incentives are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work third shift, Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for proper loading and securing freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers per schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Returns damaged goods and completes necessary paperwork.
• Unloads equipment and keeps trailers clean.
• Completes daily hours-of-service log per regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
