Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction 200mm fab. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment, partnering with production teams and area engineers.

Responsibilities include preventive/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and clear shift handoffs in a fast-paced environment. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a cleanroom with required PPE.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience in electrical or mechanical fields with the listed pathways.
• Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment per semiconductor protocol.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor and test semiconductor equipment for readiness.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Carry out end-of-shift pass downs clearly and concisely.
• Resolve equipment issues using mechanical, electrical, and PC skills.
