Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction Fab 9 200mm facility. The role focuses on monitoring, sustaining, and improving equipment and processes in partnership with production members and area engineers.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills, and communicate status updates to leads and engineers throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Degree (or equivalent) required.
• Electrical or mechanical experience: 2-year technical degree or 2 years military or 4 years related experience.
• English language proficiency (written & verbal).
• Able to work in a cleanroom environment and lift 50+ lbs with two-person lift.
• Flexible and willing to work 3-4 day alternating weeks (day/night).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and test readiness for manufacturing.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and document events.
• Work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
