Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Safe and Secure Associate in the United States (Illinois). You’ll be at the gates safeguarding people, assets, and inventory while representing Carvana to staff, vendors, and visitors.

Responsibilities include patrolling, documenting security events, and assisting with badge creation and CCTV reviews. Must have 1–2 years in customer service and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Proven decision-making in a complex environment.
• Ability to relate well with others and build relationships.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document the movement of cars at the Inspection Center gates.
• Be the face of Carvana to associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Lead with effective team communication and active listening.
• Conduct routine patrols and document safety concerns.
• Become trained on life-saving measures: first aid, CPR, AED.
• Coordinate with Safe and Secure Team Lead on badge creation and CCTV reviews.
• Promote an incident-ready focus and follow incident protocols.
• De-escalate situations while upholding Carvana values.
• Enforce Safe and Secure Principles at entrances/exits.
• Utilize the Safe and Secure App (SAS App) and RFID technology.
• Deliver a service-first approach in all actions.
• Live Carvana values in daily work.
