Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking a Senior Safety Consultant to establish and maintain a strong safety culture on the production floor in San Antonio, Texas, supporting a growing second-shift operation and the upcoming night shift.

This role is salaried and requires hands-on leadership in safety program development, audits, incident investigation, OSHA compliance, and employee training, with close collaboration across engineering, operations, and maintenance to reduce risk and safeguard

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EH&S or related field required.
• Master's degree in EH&S or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of environmental health, fire safety or safety experience and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety audits, floor inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Investigate incidents, injuries and near misses and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations at federal, state and local levels.
• Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and employee communications.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE and emergency response programs.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSA) and risk assessments for new and existing processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations during equipment installation and startups.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, and corrective-action tracking.
• Coach supervisors and employees on safe work practices and accountability.
