Job summary

International Motors, LLC is seeking a Senior Safety Consultant to establish and maintain a strong safety culture on the floor, ensure regulatory compliance, and proactively reduce workplace risks. The role involves close collaboration with employees, supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and operations leadership, with a strong presence on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of environmental health, fire safety or safety experience.
• At least 1 year of lead experience.
• Master's degree and at least 3 years of environmental health, fire safety or safety experience.
• At least 8 years of environmental health, fire safety or safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine floor inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and employee communications.
• Support Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE, hazard communication, ergonomics, electrical safety, and emergency response programs.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSA) and risk assessments for new and existing processes.
• Partner with Engineering and Operations during equipment installation, process changes, and new-product/start-up activities.
• Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, corrective-action tracking, and safety metrics.
• Coach supervisors and employees on safe work practices and help strengthen accountability for safety.
