Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC seeks a Health & Safety Specialist for night shift in Charlotte to support safety programs and incident investigations. You will conduct site observations, train employees, and ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA standards.

Role requires an associates degree and 3+ years in safety, with outdoor project site work, emergency planning, and strong recordkeeping capabilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree: at least 3 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Prior work experience in conducting safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Working knowledge of the OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard (OSHA 1926 knowledge preferred)

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and implementation of safety programs for Maintenance and Tolling activities and OSHA compliance.
• Advises Operations, Maintenance, and ITS staff on safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conducts risk assessments to identify hazards and assess risks across activities.
• Delivers training to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and PPE use.
• Assists with ordering safety supplies and equipment (PPE, etc.).
• Performs regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Supports response and closure of follow-up items and corrective actions.
• Interviews and investigates incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine corrective actions.
• Maintains training, inspection, audit, and incident records accurately.
• Supports emergency planning and drills, and spill response.
• Performs miscellaneous safety duties and monitors subcontractor safety compliance.
