Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is seeking a safety professional to develop and implement safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and train employees to ensure OSHA compliance. The role will involve incident investigations, recordkeeping, and supporting emergency response planning.

Work involves night shifts (Mon-Thu, 8 PM–6 AM) at project sites in Charlotte, NC, with routine inspections, PPE oversight, and collaboration across Operations, Maintenance, and ITS teams.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience conducting safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard (OSHA 1926 knowledge preferred).
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports on safety performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for training and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety programs for Maintenance and Tolling activities and OSHA compliance.
• Advise staff on safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments for various work activities.
• Train employees on safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Order safety supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform regular inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Support corrective actions and closure of follow-up items.
• Investigate incidents and near misses to determine corrective actions.
• Maintain records of training, inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Assist with emergency plans and drills, and spill response.
