Job summary

I-77 Mobility Partners LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Safety Specialist to assist in developing and implementing the safety program for maintenance and tolling activities. Under general supervision, you will conduct worksite safety observations, incident investigations, and training to ensure a safe work environment.

The role requires OSHA knowledge, the ability to manage training records, and collaboration with Operations, ITS, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Associates degree: at least 3 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Prior work experience in conducting safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1910 General Industry Standard (OSHA 1926 knowledge preferred).
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports related to safety, health, and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and implementation of safety programs for Maintenance and Tolling activities.
• Advises staff on safety protocols to ensure regulatory compliance by OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA.
• Conducts risk assessments to identify hazards and assess risks associated with activities.
• Delivers training on safety procedures, emergency response, and PPE use.
