Methodist Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift rotation in the Dallas area. The role involves ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and comprehensive respiratory care for adults and neonates under supervision of the medical director.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS/ACLS, NBRC registration, Texas license, and 6 months of experience. NRP/PGS training to be completed within 12 months of hire.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, and airway maintenance.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs, and ECGs as prescribed.
• Prepares treatment evaluations from bedside assessments and chart reviews.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient information.
• Operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment such as ventilators and gas analyzers.
• Participates in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities.
