Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFTs and ventilator support for adults and neonates. Duties include evaluating needs, administering therapy and documenting care under supervision.

The role requires a Respiratory Care Program graduate, current BLS/ACLS, Texas license and NBRC registration, with at least 6 months of experience; NICU experience preferred. Night shifts in Texas location.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Life Support certifications required.
• Texas license in good standing as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience; NICU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen admin, humidification and weaning.
• Conduct arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry and PFTs.
• Assess patient bedside, review records and document treatments.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and related equipment.
• Assist with infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Maintain equipment and assist with patient comfort and care.
