Job summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for the New Northeast Emergency Department night shift from 7:00pm to 7:00am. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The department supports inpatient assessments, oxygen therapy, ABG analysis, and mechanical ventilation, with outpatient pulmonary rehab and education components. Minimum qualification includes a 2-year Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care and appropriate licensure.

Qualifications

• 2-year Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care (AMA accredited) required.
• Active RRT credential (preferred) or eligible per board/licensing.
• SC license or eligibility and BLS/ACLSNR NR protocols as described.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient assessments, oxygen and routine therapy, ABG draws and ventilator management.
• Administer medications and follow care protocols; provide patient and family education.
• Document care plans, responses to treatment, and outcomes in medical records.
• Respond to Code Blues and support rapid response team activities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; assist with patient discharge planning.
