Job summary

Lexington Health Northeast Emergency Department will open a new location in Spring 2027. The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) on the Day Shift is a full-time role, working 7:00am–7:00pm, supporting inpatient and outpatient respiratory care.

Responsibilities include performing assessments, oxygen and ventilation management, and discharge planning. The position offers a $20,000 sign-on bonus and requires SC licensure with BLS/ACLS; RRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care with NBRC credential or RRT eligibility.
• Current SC license and BLS; ACLS as required.
• RRT certification (preferred) with active licensure required within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient respiratory care assessments and treatments.
• Manage oxygen therapy, arterial blood gases, and ventilation support.
• Document patient progress and adjust care plans with physicians.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Supervise and participate in pulmonary rehab activities.
