Qualifications

• 1-3 years of respiratory experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist required
• ACLS required and
• PALS required and
• NRP/ STABLE certifications may be required for NICU scenarios

Responsibilities

• Administers advanced respiratory treatments and monitors patient responses.
• Orients patient to treatment modalities to ensure cooperation.
• Performs ABG punctures and reports results promptly.
• Assists physicians with bedside procedures as assigned.
• Performs pulmonary testing procedures as assigned.
• Follows respiratory protocols and safety standards.
• Communicates with healthcare teams for timely information flow.
• Maintains respiratory therapy equipment and safety standards.
• Implements physician orders accurately and documents treatments.
• Ensures PPE use and proper patient identification for infection control.
• Manages ventilator settings and airway maintenance.
• Responds to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
